Summary

A shot rang out in the dark and Cecily felt her body tense. Had she been hit? Was death the price that she would pay for wanting to be loved? Andrew and Cecily Connors appear to have the perfect marriage, but nothing is as it seems. Cecily is the long-suffering wife that desperately wants to be free of her abusive, adulterous husband. Andrew, on the other hand, is the powerful attorney that refuses to have his children raised in a broken home. His constant disrespect and selfishness take a heavy toll on Cecily as she struggles to provide a stable home for her kids and seek a little happiness for herself. Throughout her trials and tribulations, Cecily has the support of her girlfriends, Rhonda and Karen. They are her rock, her proverbial shoulder to cry on, or so she thinks. Consumed by jealousy and lust, one of these friends will become involved in a cover-up that will devastate Cecily in a way she never dreamed possible. This tangled web of secrecy, lies and deceit proves that loyalty amongst lovers and friends is nothing more than a petty notion.
